Our AML and Verification Policy

We hold a Curaçao licence (8048/JAZ2020-047) and take our anti-money-laundering duties seriously. This page explains, in plain terms, when we verify your identity, what we ask for and what happens next.

Our Anti-Money-Laundering Commitment

Money laundering and terrorism financing are real risks in any online business that moves funds. Our licence from Curaçao, number 8048/JAZ2020-047, binds us to the Anti-Money-Laundering and Counter-Terrorism Financing framework of that jurisdiction, and we apply it to every player on our platform. We are operated by Dama N.V., which maintains a dedicated compliance function headed by our Money Laundering Reporting Officer (MLRO).

Our programme rests on three pillars: knowing who our players are, monitoring how funds move through player accounts, and reporting suspicious activity to the relevant authorities. We review and update our internal procedures regularly, and every member of our compliance and payments teams undergoes ongoing AML training.

When We Verify Your Identity

Verification checkpoints

Verification is not a single event; we apply it at points where risk is highest. You may be asked to complete verification at any of the following stages.

  • At registration, when we screen your details against sanctions and restricted-country lists (USA, UK, France and other excluded jurisdictions).
  • Before your first withdrawal, when we must confirm your identity, address and payment method.
  • At activity thresholds, when cumulative deposits, withdrawals or unusual betting patterns trigger enhanced checks.
  • At any time, if our monitoring system flags a transaction or pattern that requires a closer look.

Documents we may ask for

To verify your account we ask for three things: proof of identity, proof of address and proof that the payment method belongs to you. For identity, we accept a passport, driver licence or national ID card showing your full name, date of birth, signature or MRZ, and expiry date. For address, a utility bill, bank statement or official government correspondence issued within the last three months in your name. For payment method ownership, a photo of the card (with middle digits covered) or a screenshot of your e-wallet or crypto wallet showing your name.

How Verification Works Step by Step

We keep the process short so you can get back to playing. Most players finish within one session, and our compliance team typically reviews documents within 24 hours. Here is exactly what happens.

  • 1. You upload documents through the secure Verification section of your account, or email them to [email protected] if that is easier.
  • 2. Our compliance team checks that each document is valid, current, legible and matches the details on your account.
  • 3. If anything is unclear, we contact you and explain precisely what we need. We never leave a request vague.
  • 4. Once approved, we confirm by email and remove the withdrawal hold on your account.
  • 5. If we need enhanced due diligence (for large withdrawals or unusual activity), we may ask additional questions before final approval.

How your documents are protected

Documents are transmitted over encrypted connections and stored on access-restricted servers. Only authorised compliance staff can view them, and we never share your verification data with third parties except where the law requires it.

When We Ask About Source of Funds

For most players, standard identity verification is all we ever need. For larger amounts or patterns that stand out from your usual play, we may ask where the money deposited into your account came from. This is called a source-of-funds (SOF) check, and it is a legal obligation, not a suspicion of you personally.

A typical trigger is cumulative deposits above approximately 25,000 AUD within a rolling period, a single large withdrawal, or deposits that do not match your stated profile. Acceptable SOF evidence includes payslips, tax returns, bank statements showing salary credits, a signed statutory declaration, or sale documents for an asset. We review what you provide, keep it confidential, and clear your account for play as soon as we are satisfied.

How We Monitor Transactions

Every deposit and withdrawal passes through automated and human review. Our system builds a profile of your normal play and flags departures from it: rapid deposit-withdrawal cycling with minimal wagering, deposits from methods not registered in your name, or attempts to split withdrawals across multiple methods.

We operate a same-method withdrawal rule. Winnings are paid back to the same card, wallet or crypto address used for the deposit wherever technically possible. Our minimum deposit and withdrawal is 30 AUD, and withdrawals are capped at 6,500 AUD per day. Crypto withdrawals usually arrive within 1 hour; cards and bank transfer take 1 to 5 business days, and there are no fees on our side.

If a transaction looks suspicious to us, we may pause it, ask questions, and where the law requires, file a report with the financial intelligence authority in our licence jurisdiction. We do not inform you when such a report is made, as the law prohibits disclosure.

If Verification Fails or Stalls

If you do not complete verification, we cannot process your withdrawal. This is a licence condition, not a discretionary call by our support team. Your account stays open for play, and your balance remains yours, but funds will not be released until your identity is confirmed.

  • Incomplete documents: we email you exactly what is missing and give you a reasonable window to supply it.
  • Rejected documents: we tell you the reason (expired, illegible, name mismatch) and tell you which alternatives we accept.
  • Suspected fraud or third-party play: we suspend the account pending investigation.
  • False identity or payment details: we close the account permanently and may be legally obliged to report the matter.
  • Dormant verification requests: unresolved requests may lead to the account being frozen for your protection until the matter is resolved.

Your right to appeal

If you disagree with a verification decision, write to [email protected] with your account number and reasons. A senior compliance officer, independent of the original decision, will review the case and reply within a reasonable timeframe.

How Long We Keep Your Records

We keep verification documents and transaction records for at least five years after the end of the business relationship, as our licence and Curaçao AML law require. If you close your account, your documents are not deleted immediately; they are retained for the statutory period and then securely destroyed.

Retention exists for a reason. The records let us respond to legitimate regulator, tax and law-enforcement requests, and they protect you as well, since a documented history is the strongest defence against fraudulent claims on your account.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why was I asked for documents when my friend was not?

Verification is risk-based. We verify every player before the first withdrawal, but thresholds, deposit sizes and unusual patterns can trigger checks at different times for different players.

How long does verification take?

Most documents are reviewed within 24 hours. Enhanced due diligence on large withdrawals can take up to 3 business days.

Can I withdraw before verification is complete?

No. Our Curaçao licence requires us to verify identity, address and payment method ownership before releasing any funds. You can still play while verification is pending.

Is it safe to send my ID to you?

Yes. Documents travel over encrypted connections, are stored on restricted servers, and are visible only to authorised compliance staff.

What happens to my documents after I close my account?

We retain them for at least five years, as required by AML law, and then securely destroy them.
